Michelle Cobb’s Biography
Hello parents and students! I am Michelle Cobb, a North Carolina native, and world explorer! My professional journey began as an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I received my degree in secondary education and minors in Anthropology and Spanish. After graduating and studying abroad in Madrid, I continued my international interest in Seoul, South Korea. In Seoul, I taught Language Arts, Speech, and Mythology to elementary and middle-grade students. After a year in Seoul, I returned temporarily to North Carolina and taught 7th grade Social Studies in Benson at McGee’s Crossroads Middle School.
Nevertheless, after being accepted into a master’s program at Appalachian State University in the fall of 2016, I looked to work overseas again. My next destination was Kuwait City, Kuwait. In Kuwait, I taught high school social sciences, including US History, US Government, and Sociology. I also served as the Forensics and Debate coach during my three years and placed first for the past two years. Moreover, I served as a curriculum leader and department head after graduating from with Curriculum & Instructional Specialist Ma.Ed in the summer of 2018.
I am so excited to be back in my home state as of this summer, and I am even more excited to join the Pine Springs Prep community! I look forward to a year of growth, sharing experiences, and empowering each other to learn!
Thank you,
Mrs. Cobb
