Kirstin Boyd’s Biography
Hello! This will be my third year as PSPA’s 7th grade ELA teacher, and I couldn’t be happier!
Originally hailing from Wake County, I attended traditional, year-round, and private schools in this area. My kindergarten dream of becoming a teacher was fulfilled when I graduated from ECU and began teaching middle school science and ELA in Pitt County. After five years of growth at my first school, I moved to beautiful New Bern to gain another two years of experience teaching 7th-grade ELA and science in a rural area of Craven County. I’ve now found my home as a Pioneer!
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy game nights with my many siblings, cuddling with my adorable lap dog (Hauser), reading and relaxing at the family river house, and spending time with my new husband. I have a soft spot for corny jokes, super soft blankets, anything Batman, and fluffy dogs: these things are the way to my heart 🙂 I’m excited for another great year!
