Kim Slate

Ms. Slate is very excited to be a new member of the Pine Springs 2nd grade team. She received her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She later completed her Master’s in Reading Education from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. She has spent her career as a Reading Specialist,First Grade,  and Second Grade Teacher.

Outside of school, Ms. Slate loves fitness, either walking or running through her neighborhood in Sanford, or with her son in Apex. She also loves to spend time with a good book.
