Ben Hardin’s Biography
Hello y’all! My name is Ben Hardin and I’m the 6th Grade Math teacher at PSPA. This is my second year at Pine Springs, and my favorite part of being a Pioneer is the sense of community that has been established between teachers, staff, students, and parents. I love it here, and hope that your kiddos feel the same energy that I do. Your child will be challenged from an intellectual, philosophical, and core value perspective every single day while they are with me.
I am a North Carolina native, originally from Ramseur (pronounced Ram-sewer) and graduated from Western Carolina University with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Psychology. At WCU I was a member of the WCU Rugby Club, and the Club Wrestling Team. In my free time I enjoy playing golf, taking road trips, being outside, visiting friends and family, trying new restaurants, and doing as much as I can, while I can.
“Everyone should have their mind blown once a day” Neil deGrasse Tyson
“Mathematics has beauty and romance. It’s not a boring place to be, the mathematical world. It’s an extraordinary place; it’s worth spending time there.” – Marcus du Sautoy
“Always, leave it better than you found it” – Cecil J. Mock
