Clubs, Extracurricular, & Organizations

Below is our list of our typical clubs and activities.  However,  activities and clubs have a moratorium at this time, due to COVID-19.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is open to girls in grades 3rd–5th grade. Mrs. Lord brought Girls on the Run to Pine Springs Prep in 2018-2019, and it was a huge success! The club inspires girls to take charge of their lives and define the future on their terms. It’s a place where girls learn that they can.

It’s full of opportunities to be remarkable. Our Girls on the Run Club embark on a mock 5K and then a local 5K race within the community. Way to go girls! Click here to learn more.

Future Hawks Lacrosse

This program is not affiliated with Pine Springs Prep, but is a great opportunity for many of our middle school boys that live in this area.  This is open for any middle school boys that will be attending Holly Springs High School.  The season will run from early February to mid May. National Junior Honor Society

National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle-level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

Rising 7th and 8th graders who are academically eligible are invited to apply and then selected by our faculty council based on all five tenets of NJHS. They are then inducted in the spring. Students serve during their 7th and 8th-grade years and are required to complete volunteer hours for the good of the school and their community while maintaining academic eligibility.

Science Olympiad

Open to students in grades 3rd–5th grade. This is a fantastic opportunity to compete for head to toe with some of the smartest students in the state in the STEM areas (science, technology, engineering, and math). This is also a great opportunity to develop practical, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Connect with University and corporate sponsors. Participants will compete in 2–3 events at the regional competition in March! Click here to learn more.

Student Council

Our Student Council is open to students in 6th–8th grade. In the 2018–2019 school year, the Student Council participated in the school ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Sears and the Director of Charter Schools.

Student Council

In addition, they hosted two middle school dances, they served as reading buddies to elementary-aged students, spearheaded a school-wide drive for “Tabs for Charity” for the McDonald House, were greeters at the Multicultural Fair, and launched morning announcements at Pine Springs Prep.
